What I Drew for Disneyland's Birthday – Day 8

(front) Tiana and Penny.
(at left) Snow White, Jasmine John and Wendy.
(at right) Gaston, Michael and Boo.
3x hidden Mickeys.
Character “meet and greets,” photo opportunities and other such encounters seem like cornerstone elements to a Disney experience. If you hunt down pictures of the first characters to appear in Disneyland in 1955, you might think that they were an after thought. There’s a long story on the first Mickey and Minnie guests could meet in person, of which I don't have room to recount here.

Penny is from The Rescuers. John, Wendy and Michael are the Darling children form Peter Pan. They are dressed as I though English children would wear in the daytime - which is a combination of Christopher Robin’s clothes and those of the Bank’s children from Mary Poppins. Boo is from Monsters, Inc.

A Matterhorn mountain combo.
The Three Caballeros
whiz through on a bobsled run.
Goofy ascends the outside of the Mountain.

Meanwhile, resident, Harold the yeti is not amused by any of it.
 1x hidden Mickey.

Tarzan and Jane on a jungle cruise and
encounter fierce-looking hippopotamuses.
Baloo and Louie pop up to check out the commotion.
Jungle Cruise
2x hidden Mickeys.
